Election Endorsement
|
Pacific Water Polo Inc., (PWP, Inc.) is an independent non-profit organization founded in 1981 whose focus is organizing and supporting water polo in the greater Bay Area. Here are a few events that PWP, Inc. has been involved with over the years.
Fall, Winter & Spring Leagues
High School Senior All-Star Game
USA Water Polo Golf Tournament
The Olympic Club SplashBall Grant Program
The Pacific Zone of USA Water Polo is a local group of USA Water Polo representatives charged with supporting USA Water Polo. Unfortunately, over the years, the responsibilities of USA Water Polo Zones have significantly diminished. The Zone leadership has very little input into the direction of USA Water Polo, which comes as one of the drawbacks when USA Water Polo was changed to a staff driven model.
For approximately the last 10 years, the PWP, Inc. Board has shared board members with that of USA Water Polo’s Pacific Zone Board. This has provided support for local water polo activities and helped drive membership to USA Water Polo.
USA Water Polo has implemented a "one size fits all" method for determining the local leadership (aka Zone Board). Electronic voting has begun for 6 Pacific Zone Board Members. Voting ends on Sunday December 11. Voting is open to current USA Water Polo members aged 18 and over.
The hope is to continue having PWP, Inc. Board members sitting on both the PWP, Inc. Board and the USA Water Polo Pacific Zone Board. In an effort to achieve this, PWP, Inc. is endorsing the following three candidates, who have been active and have worked hard to keep water polo alive and well within the Pacific Zone.
Andrew Morris
Susan Ortwein
Dan Siri
We hope that you will consider these individuals when voting for USA Water Polo Zone
